PRP

Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, is a medical procedure and should be performed only by doctors. A small amount of blood taken from the patient is taken in small tubes with a special gel and centrifuged. The decomposed blood is separated from the platelet cells and an enriched gel is extracted. This rich structure is called PRP.

Platelets, which provide blood clotting, also release growth factors that allow damaged tissues to heal. For this reason, PRP obtained by centrifuged blood is injected into areas such as face, neck and hair. Thus, while damage to the tissues increases as the healing process increases, the natural growth factors that reverse the effects of aging are also given to the area.

Are PRP and Stem Cell Therapy the same thing?

PRP is not a stem cell therapy. But it works on stem cells indirectly. Growth factors in platelets stimulate skin cells to transmit fibroblast-producing messages. Fibroblasts are also key-structures on producing collagen and elastin. Therefore, Regenkit PRP indirectly works with stem cells by multiplying the number of platelets that initiate all this process, because fibrin nets that form after the filling application collect the stem cells in the environment under its structure. In recent years, plastic surgeons have begun to apply fat injection by mixing the PRP obtained from the blood taken from patient in the fat taken from the patient during the fat injection operations. This increases the likelihood of permanence of injected fat. In addition, operations such as abdominoplasty, facial lifting , mastopexy (breast lifting) and breast downsizing, PRP application to operation area incision line reduces the problems such as bleeding, bad wound healing etc.

Does PRP have Disadvantages or Risks?

There is no risk or side effect in the correctly applied PRP application.

What are the visible results of the PRP?

  • Your skin becomes lively and bright.
  • The sun and age spots in your facial region soften.
  • Improvement in under-eye bags and blackness is observed.
  • Your hair gets stronger and becomes more vivid.

How and how long should PRP be done?

PRP administered together with mesotherapy is performed between 3-4 sessions in 15 days intervals. After six to eight months, one more cure will be enough. There is another protocol in which filling and mesotherapy are applied together, in which PRP is applied for 3 sessions in 21-28 days intervals. Six months later, the doctor checks his patient. If the patient is in the menopausal period or if the patient is a smoker, the doctor may need to do 1 more course of treatment. If the patient is taking good care of himself / herself, he / she takes care of his / her health, and If he / she protects his / her skin from UV rays, he / she will wait for 2 years for the second course of treatment.
